Biography

Mary Blackburn was born in 1818 in Kent, Ontario to Robert Robert Blackburn (1783-1839) and her mother, Mary Unk Mary (Unknown) Blackburn (abt.1790-abt.1818).

Mary Blackburn married Peter Isaiah Traxler on Jan 1, 1845 in Dawn Mills, Kent, Ontario, at the age of 27. Mary and Peter had a large family of 9 children, 5 girls and 4 boys.

Mary lost her husband , Peter, in 1866 with a house full of children, one only about 6 years of age.

Mary lived to to April 6, 1887, age 69. On her death records it lists Mary as suffering from paralysis.
