Robert was born about 1750 in South Carolina.

In 1796, he appeared on the Hancock County, Georgia tax records.[3]n in 1750.

He died in 1799.

Estate Settlement

Robert Bryan's will was probated January 16, 1800.

Hancock County, Georgia Wills and Estates, Vol. AA, pages 153-154. Will of Robert Bryant, weak in body and very sick, dated 12 April 1779. To my beloved wife, Sarah Bryant, two negros, Dina and Pegg. I lend to my wife during her widowhood my plantation, tools, stock, furniture, etc., or as much as necessary to raise and support my children. The parts that can be spared may be sold and put to interest or laid out in young Negroes. The rest of my Negroes not given to my wife to be kept together and as my children come of age I allow them to get an equal division of all but the land. When my youngest child comes of age, my land to be sold and money divided among my children. Or land may be sold at the marriage or decease of my wife. Executors: Sarah Bryant, and Ajonadab Reed, Dred Wilder and Tunstal Roan, my joint executors in trust to see my will executed. Signed: Robert Bryant, Witnessed: William Phillips, Samuel Hart, Solomon Stapp. Proven in open Court by Samuel Hart and Solomon Stapp, 16 January 1800.

Septimus Weatherby, James Alford, Michael Collins, schoolmaster. To the support & maintenance of seven white children from 1 May 1800 to 1 Jan 1801 at $3.00 each per month; two negro ditto at $1.50 per month. Widows dower on $540.37 being the amount of sale of property not particularly willed. Cash due and received from John Reed $50.00. Dates are the same. But I do not know that he had daughter named Charity. I haven't seen his first name John. Not sure about merging.

Bryan-2006 and Bryan-1519 appear to represent the same person because: Remove first name as John. Have not found any record with first name as John. First name should be Robert. Robert married Sarah Lanier. She later married Benjamin Whitfield.

I think this person is the same with the FamilySearch ID LC5X-DX3 my 5th great grand dad. My grandfather doesn't show a first name John however.
