Biography
Grietje was born about 1702, according to the date of her first child. She was married before 1723 to Johannis Francisco the son of John Francisco and Lijsbet Buijs. A child of theirs (no name given but possibly son Arie, who m. 23 Mar 1755 Rachel Jacobus) was bap. at Acquackanonk 22 Jan 1723.[1]
Their son Hendrick was born 30 May 1730 and bap. at Second River 14 Jun 1730.[2]
Their son Jacob was born 26 Sep 1733, and bap. at Second River 14 Oct 1733.[3]
Grietje died before 1737 when Johannes married (2nd) 3 Jul 1737 at Acquackanonk Claertje Coerte.[4] The marriage record stated: "Johannes Francisko, widower of Margaretta Buijs; and Claertje Coerte, maiden, both born in Achquecknonk and living in the parish of Pompton."
