Research Notes
LNAB is Buijs, the name recorded for his father at his baptism. "Buijs" is the correct Dutch orthography, but this name is often rendered as "Buys." Smith-62120 01:28, 11 September 2022 (UTC)
The will cited here, that of John Bois, created on 27 January 1785 and proved in Dutchess County on 30 January 1790, is also identified in WikiTree as the will of John Bois (bef.1750-bef.1790). These are two different men, but there is only one will. The will mentions wife Elizabeth, eldest son Henry Bois, son Arey Bois, and son Peter Bois, who was deceased (he was called "extinct") but had children who were not yet of age. These are the only children named individually, but shares of the estate were to be given to "all my children," possibly including others. Smith-62120 01:53, 11 September 2022 (UTC)
