1776 Project
Japhet Byram performed Patriotic Service in New Jersey in the American Revolution.

Japhet Byram served as a Revolutionary Solider. Japhet was a Private in the Morris Co., Militia. He received certificate No. 168, amounting to 1.7.2 Pounds, for the depreciation of his Continental Pay.

Some authorities claim Japhet died at the home of his son Nicholas in Byram Township, Sussex County, New Jersey. Japhet moved to New Jersey with his father, Ebenezer.

Japhet Byram headstone states his name as Jeptha Byram esq.
