"Jonathan Catlin, of whom mention is elsewhere made, came in 1800, locating in what is known as the Goodrich Settlement. He bought the Taylor improvement, but in later years his sons, Stephen, Jonathan, Joseph, James, and Nathaniel settled on Catlin hill, a name which is preserved to this day. From this head the Catlin family in Tioga county is descended, but several of its best representatives have removed from the town and have helped to make histories in other localities".[2]

Catlin-175 and Catlin-73 appear to represent the same person because: Both match sort of find a grave data. Couldn't have been born in Owego, NY before Revolution, was Indian Territory, (Fort Stanwick Treaty). Area settled by Revolutionary soldiers, paid with land. Grave next to Nathaniel Catlin in Tioga Cemetery.
