Sippe married Trijntie Eelckes. Children: Stijntje (1690), Wijtske (1696), Claas (1699)
Sippe was a farmer (huisman) and receiver (ontvanger - probably including being a guardian for any child losing a parent that needed someone) living in Paesens. Sippe also acted as a judge.
Sippe acted as guardian for several children. In 1682 Sippe was made guardian of Claas (5) and Lourens (3), children of his sister Grietie Clasis and her deceased husband Pytter Lourens, son of Lourens Sijdses of Anjum. On July 25 1684 Sippe became the guardian of Tabe Jelles (14). On Dec 17 1684 Sippe became the guardian of Lolk (15) and Lourens Sijdsis (10), the children of his sister Sytzke Claesen and her husband Sijts Lourens. On Sept 25 1689 Sippe added Dirk Pijtters, father-in-law to Lolkien Sijdsis (19) and Take Lourens to Lourens Sydsis (16) as guardians. On June 5 1694 Sippe became the guardian of Gerben Gerbens (20). On May 18 1696 Sippe became the guardian of Marijke Tysses (19). In 1696 he and his brother-in-law Wepke Jacobs became the guardian for his brother Wilco's children Stijntje, Claes and Pijtter. On March 3 1704 Sippe, now living in Lioessens, was made guardian of Jacob Hendrix, son of Hendrik Jans in Paesens, age 17.
I found the Peazens Floreenkohier of 1640, 1680 and 1700 in a jumbled state. It seems the list of 1640 gives only the name of each farm / estate such as Sinia sathe. It helped in identifying people, but I couldn't figure out which payment went with which person. Sippe Classen seems to be listed in the 1680 Floreenkohier twice; lord Ornia seems to take his place in one while Sippe kept the other in 1700.
In 1683 Sippe Clasen was living on the Tialma state owned by Anne Siccema when it was bought by Cornelis Bosman for 1300 guilders. [1] His uncle Coene Sippes was Meijer of the Tialma Sathe in 1640. [2]
In 1691 Sippe Claassen, Grietje Claesen with her husband Fans Sijbes and Wilco Claesen were mentioned in a document along with Louw Dreuses and Aelse Clases' children.
When Sippe married Trijntje, he moved to Lioessens where she was from. It seems he still owned land in Paesens which he continued to farm. The 1698 Stemcohieren also shows that he owned land in Lioessens (1 pondemaat and 9 einsen - he owned and farmed it). In 1710 Sippe moved back to Paesens.
On April 2 1713 Sippe Claesen is listed as deceased. His children Wijtske (18) and Claas (14) were given by their mother Trijntie Eelckes Reijner Barthels of Paesens as a guardian. On May 20 1713, Stijntie Sippes and her husband Rienk Tijmens of Lioessens, Jacob Jans receiver of Pasens and guardian of Stijntie's half siblings Wytske and Claes Sippes, received her inheritance from her step-mother Trijntie Eelkes. Included in the will were a house, a garden, a shed, trees and plants worth 1834 guilders, more than 35 pm of land in and around the new and old dikes, the peat bogs and the east and west "armedijk" (poor dikes?), all worth 5176 guilders.
