Patience was a Friend (Quaker)

Patience Clifton was born 2 July 1646 at Newport, Rhode Island. Her parents were Quakers Thomas and Mary Clifton of Newport. ^[1]

Patience Clifton married first Quaker John Beare / Beere, age 34 years, on 4 September 1664 at Newport, Rhode Island. ^[2] John and Patience Beare had two known child:

• Hope, b. 30 Dec 1665
• Mercy [Mary], b. 6 Aug 1666, Newport, R.I.; m. William H. Hamilton (1647-1749); d. 1730, Danbury, Fairfield, Connecticut.

John Beare, son of Edward "Beer" of Dorset, England died while on a voyage at sea in 29 July 1671. "Patience Clifton, widow of John Beere" married 2nd Quaker William Allen 16 May 1677 at Newport, Rhode Island. ^[3] William Allen passed away before 1680.

Widow Patience Allen married 3rd Quaker Richard Evans (-1727, ae 81) on 10 June 1680 and their marriage was recorded at Newport, Rhode Island and Sandwich, Massachusetts. ^[4]
