Note Rubina was named "Luvena" Craft on her Birth Registration but as "Rubeana" Craft on her Marriage Registration and Rubeana Chick on her Death Registrations, but on all her children's Birth Registrations she is named as "Rubina" so "Rubina" can be assumed to be the preferred spelling.

Luvina/Rubeana (Rubina) Craft was born on 8 December 1876 at Wollombi, New South Wales, Australia ^[1], the daughter of John Craft and Mary Ann Craft and the sister of Agnes Craft, Ethel R (Craft) Hawkins, Ethel Craft, Emma Craft, Ernest Craft, Henry James Craft, Victor Burt Craft and Youell Craft.

She married Augustus Peter Chick, a widower, on 5 April 1900 at St Luke's Church, Millfield, New South Wales, Australia ^[2] and they were the parents of Hazel Ruby (Chick) Vernon, Amy Isabella (Chick) Crossdale, Hassan Aubrey Chick, Augustus Chick, Cyril Augustus Chick, Walter William Chick, Ernest Henry Chick, Stanley Clifford Chick, Frederick J Chick, and Ellen Rubeana (Chick) Dixon aka Lomas.

It appears that Augustus may not have been the easiest man to live with as, on or about Tuesday, 14 February 1922, Augustus Chick, for using threatening words to his wife, Robina, was bound over, in the sum of £10, to keep the peace. ^[3]

Rubeana passed away on 12 July 1934 at Cessnock, New South Wales, Australia ^[4].
