Johannes was born about 1715 in Neuwied, Rhineland Pfalz, Germany. On 08 Jul 1730 in New Jersey he became a naturalized citizen, by act of the New Jersey Assembly.[1]
Johannes "John" Dierdorff married Anna Mary Margaret (Margaretha) Erhart (Ehrhardt) on 22 May 1739 at Conewago, Adams County[2] (An earlier version of the profile gave that they were married on 22 May 1740 (or 27 May) in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania, but no source is provided).
Three children are identified, but they are not mentioned in the will proven in 1776 (see Notes) :
The will of Johannes Dierdorff of Reading Township, Adams County, Pennsylvania, was made on 4 Dec 1775 and proven on 7 Feb 1776.[3]
It names his children as :
Anthony
Christiana, wife of Michael Boserman
Margaret wife of --- Thomey
Barbara, wife of William Thomas
Hannah, wife of Nicholas Myers
Catharine, wife of Adam Cunkeland
Abraham
Susanna
John
Daniel.
The person who died in 1776 is evidently not the same person who was the father of Henry Deardorff, Isaac Deardorff, Jacob Deardorff, since these three children are not named in his will. It's possible that there were two men named John Dierdorff in the area at the time, and further research is needed to confirm which children belonged to which man.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with John by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with John:
