Biographie

Marie Josephe Duval est née le 19 mars 1738, baptisée le 26 à L'Islet, fille de Jean Duval et de Catherine Myville.[1]

Lecture d'un contrat de mariage passé devant maître Noël Dupont, notaire, le 8 février 1757, entre Jean-Baptiste Leclerc et Marie-Josèphe Duponté (Dupolo) dit Duval, par lequel Marguerite Durand, veuve de feu Joseph Leclerc, mère du futur époux, fait donation de la moitié de tous ses biens ; suit l'ordre d'enregistrer ledit contrat au registre des insinuations. [2]

Marie Josephte Duponlo dite Duval, veuve de Jean Baptiste Leclerc dit Francoeur, décède le 8 septembre 1823 et est inhumée le 10 à Kamouraska, l'acte lui donnant 86 ans. Ses fils François, Pierre et Julien Leclerc dit Francoeur sont cités présents aux obsèques.[3]

Marie Josephe Duval was born in 1738.

She was the daughter of Jean-Baptiste Duval and Catherine Miville.

Marriage contract of 8 Feb 1757 read 13 Dec 1757, in front of Notaire Noel Dupont, between Jean Baptiste Leclerc, son of Marguerite Durand and the late Joseph Leclerc, and Marie Josephe Duponté dite Duval. Their marriage record has not been found. [2]

She passed away in 1823.

Research Notes

  • Tanguay mistakenly connects the marriage of Marie Josephe Duval and Jean Baptiste Leclerc to his brother Ignace. [4] Ignace's wife, Elisabeth Fortin, was referred to as his widow at her death in 1803. [5] Ignace had died by the time of his daughter Marie's marriage in 1768. [6]
