He was the son of Jean-Baptiste Leclerc and Marie-Josette Duval.

Jean Baptiste Leclaire, son of Jean Baptiste Leclair and of Marie Josephe Duval, married Marie Frigo, daughter of __ Frigo and of Marie Josephe Bouteillé, on 2 June 1790 in Carleton.[1]

Marriage 2
Jean Baptiste Leclerc, widower of Marie Frigau, remarried on 19 September 1796 in Nipisiguit (recorded in Caraquet) with Madeleine Thébault, daughter of Mathurin Thébault and of Catherine Duval of Nipisiguit.[2]

  4. Mathurin Leclerc, of age when he marries Julie Landry 2 Jan 1831 in Caraquet ; redone 15 Feb 1836 in Caraquet (same situation)
