Sorry for the illegibility of the message below. I hope my message was clear irrespective of the typos.
Yes, we are 5th cousins through the Dabb family in Ireland. It seems one branch went off to Canada while other went to Australia. An outcome that is very telling of Ireland's history in the Mid 19C.
Thank you for your very useful suggestion about the WickiTree Browser Extension.
As you've obviously seen, I have created a number of profiles using GEDCOM data. I have always intended to edit these profiles as soon as I could get back to them. I am gradually working though them in line with WikiTree suggested protocols, although it was been very slow at first as I learning how to read and edit the GEDCOM without destroying the underlying data.
I was not aware of of the browser extension you mentioned, but it looks like it could be a great help with my current task. I will now install it and see how it helps me.
My hope is that, soon, my contribution to WickiTree will be up the standard expected of its contributors.
Thank you for your welcome. I may get off to a slow start , but I hope to make a significant contribution , ultimately. At the moment I am in the middle of sorting out my large and complex family on WikiTree, so its head down on that task first.
