Biography

Marie Hebert was born 23 Apr 1682 in Grand Pre, Acadia. She was the daughter of Étienne Hebert and Jeanne Comeau She was baptized on 25 Jun 1684 at Beaubassin, Acadia. Her godparents were Pierre Terriot and Marie Tibaudeau.[1][2][3]
In 1686, at Baye des Mines, Marie, aged 4, was living with her parents, Estienne HEBERT, aged 32, and Jeanne COMMEAU (sic), aged 24, and her two brothers: Antoine, aged 6, and Estienne (sic), aged 1. The family owned 2 guns and was living on 8 arpents of cultivable land with 7 cattle and 7 hogs.[4]

In Acadia, about 1699, Marie married Martin Henry (born about 1679 in Acadie; son of Robert Henry and Madeleine Marie Godin).[6]

Marie wasn't listed with her husband Martin Henry on the list of Acadians deported to France in 1758. He died at sea during the crossing. It is presumed she died before deportation.[8][9]

I was unable to substantiate Henry-6020 (Simon Henry) and Henry-8680 Louis Valentine Henry as children of Martin Henry and Marie Hebert. I have removed them from her profile. Do we want to do likewise on Martin's profile?
