Biography
John was born July 12, 1860 in Indiana. According to 1910 US Census his father was born in Indiana, but the 1920 US Census indicates he was born in Illinois. His mother was born in New Jersey according to 1910 US Census, but the 1920 US Census indicates that she was born in Illinois. According to his marriage record to Julina Taylor whom he married 30 December 1891, in Lamar County, Alabama, he had already been married before. W. J. Flinn stated that he knows that Julina Taylor is over 18 years of age and that J. M. Hill has been married before. Julina passed away in 1904 and John married again in 1905 to Ella Elizabeth Christian. He passed away March 22, 1936 according to tombstone marker. He is buried at Beaverton Memorial Cemetery, Beaverton, Lamar County, Alabama. [1]
