Am I the only one who finds it curious that 2 different Guillaume Paradis from 2 different families (Jacques Paradis - Jeanne Françoise Millouer and Guillaume Paradis - Geneviève Millouer) married two daughters (Jeanne and Catherine Marguerite) of Pierre Hudon and Marie Gobeil both marriages were celebrated on the same day and in the same church. Even Tanguay has them listed as such in his Dictionary.

Yes it is interesting. The two Guillaume Paradis men were actually double first cousins: their fathers were brothers and their mothers were sisters. And then to top it off, the two Paradis cousins married sisters Jeanne and Catherine Hudon! With so many connections between their families, they must have decided to have a double wedding.

It is easy to get the children of these two couples confused, so I've added an English bio and explanatory note to Jeanne's profile.

Wow, it would be so interesting if we could go back and DNA test their kids. All the cousins would probably show as siblings, and all the siblings might look like fraternal twins (I think?).

Hudon-54 and Hudon-4 appear to represent the same person because: same name, date and place of birth, place of death
