She is the daughter of Louis Jourdan and Maria Guillaumet. [2] This is incorrect. She was born before 7 Jul 1735 and was the son of Petronella van Staden who had died in 18 Feb 1739. After her death Louis Jourdan married Maria (Guillaumet) Jordaan (1717 - abt. 1757). [3]

Repository: NG Kerkargief, Noordwal-Wes, Stellenbosch, G3 3/1. , 1694-1745, page 119. Note: The earliers part of this register, 'Die Fransch Doopboek', is also available as a transcript in the Transcripts section of this web site There are only 7 baptisms for the year 1719, dated between 3rd November and 31st December 1719..
