Lars Petter Kejser was born on May 19, 1806 in Skultuna bruk, Skultuna, Västmanland, Sverige, son of Johan Paulsson Keijser (1760–1826) and Maria Ersdotter (1763–1849).

He moved to Solberga in Skultuna for work in 1825 and stayed there 1825-1826 and then moved to Ekeby.^[1]

He married Brita Stina Larsdotter from Eskilstuna and they had a daughter, but both his wife and daughter died in 1838. He moved to Irsta in 1841.^[2]
