Mary (Kirtland) Breed is one of twins.

Mary was born on May 15th, 1667 as a twin to her sister Martha. They were born to Nathaniel Kirtland and Parnell Unknown. ^{[1] [2]}

On April 28th, 1686 she married John Breed. ^{[3] [4]}

John and Mary had the following child:

• Sarah born: 15 Jul 1687, died: 28 Jan 1688

After the death of their only child they went on to become guardians to three girls:

• Deborah Wager was made a ward of John Bread sometime after her mother's death in 1705. Deborah's parents were Andrew Wager and Elizabeth Allen. Andrew was a mariner and is presumed to have been lost at sea.
• Anne and Mary Legare, daughters of Daniel Legare and Ruth Bass, also became wards of John Bread. After John's death they became wards of his wife Mary. Both girls were granddaughters to Mary's sister Ann and her husband Samuel Bass.

Mary passed away about 1743 in Lynn and is buried in the Old East Burying Ground in Lynn.

Mary's birth is recorded in the church records as 15: 3m:1667. The first month of the year was March, which makes May the 3rd month of the year.
