When Theophile Ferdinand George LaBrie was born on February 26, 1883, in Frankfort, South Dakota, his father, George, was 26 and his mother, Celina, was 32. He married Louise Mary Klapperich on November 28, 1905, in Turton, South Dakota. They had two children during their marriage. He died on April 6, 1948, in Aberdeen, South Dakota, at the age of 65, and was buried in Turton, South Dakota.
Excerpt from Turton Centennial Book: "Theophile F.G. LaBrie was born on February 26, 1883 at Turton, the son of George and Celina Breault LaBrie, where he grew to manhood. Louise Klapperich was born on September 14, 1885 at Turton. She was the daughter of Jacob and Anna Lenz Klapperich and grew up and was educated in this area. Theophile and Louise were married on November 28,1905 at St. Louis Catholic Church in Turton by Father Guenard.They fa rmed in the Turton area until 1932 w hen they moved to a farm near Doland which they farmed until the sudden death of Theophile on April 6, 1948. Four children were born to this union: Martha (Dix) and Corinne (Fortin) and twin daughters who died at birth ." [1]
