Registre Saint-Pierre-du-Nord, copie manuscrite consultée sur microfilm aux Archives provinciales de l’Île. Je dois préciser que Douville aurait été le premier insulaire d’origine européenne à demeurer « en permanence » dans l’Île. De toute évidence, il y aurait eu des familles acadiennes qui se seraient installées temporairement dans l’Île avant 1719. Notons le cas de Louis LaBauve et d’Anne La Vache qui faisaient baptiser à Beaubassin le 21 juin 1717 un fils, Jean LaBauve. Selon le baptistaire inscrit dans le registre paroissiale de Beaubassin, cet enfant était né le 1er juillet 1716 sur l’île Saint-Jean. Je tiens à remercier Earle Lockerby de m’avoir signalé cette information.[2]

Munière-1 and LaVache-11 appear to represent the same person because: same woman, have marked daughter Josephe as uncertain until verification can be done at original source that gives this link. Merge into LaVache-11 and enter Munière in other last names. La Vache may have been a nickname, since she married a man named La Bauve (loosely translated as the bull in feminine form, la vache translates as the cow.)
