François was born on 18 April 1750 and was baptized the next day in Annapolis Royal. [1] He is the son of René Lanoue and Marguerite Richard. His godparents were Joseph Lanoue and Marie Le Blanc.
He and his family was deported to Charleston, South Carolina, in 1755, where they were treated as prisoners of war.
He died of smallpox in 1756 while in exile Stanyarne Plantation (present-day Vanderhost’s Plantation) Charleston, South Carolina and was buried at Johns Island, Charleston, South Carolina.[2]
