Biography

Louwen Leenards and his wife Fieghjen Keesen van Calslagh made profession of faith in the Wanneperveen Reformed Church on June 24 1667.

In the 1675 Hoofdgeld Louwe Leenaerts was the last name listed, with the Schutsloot people. 3 adults lived in his household. In the 1675 500ste Penning Louwe Leenarts is listed as paying 600 pennies, right at the beginning of Schutsloot (he must have been on the edge of town). In the 1675 Vuurstedengeld, Stoffel and Louwe Leenders are listed side by side, each having one chimney. They may have been included together in the other lists, Stoffel being between wives. Louwe paid 15 stuivers in the Zoutgeld of 1694 and 1 guilder 6 stuivers in 1702. In the 1726 Vuurstedengeld Bertelt Jans owned his house. Bertelt was the brother of his son-in-law Peter Driessen and his daughter-in-law Leentje Driessen.
