Biography

Children: Louwe (1640), Stoffel (1650).

Leendert's patronymic was most likely either Louwes or Stoffels, given the names of his sons. It's very likely that Louwe inherited his house and that he died before 1675.

The names Leendert, Stoffel and Louwe are rare in this area. I found no other Louwe. In the Wanneperveen Reformed Church membership records, A Peter Leenderts Cock joined the church with his wife Neeltje on April 24 1641. And a Leendert Juijgen with his wife Harmtgjen Roeloffs joined the church on March 26 1665. And a Stoffel Joostens is also found there on April 7 1667. None of them seems to be related to our family.
