With the additional info and records I think the Fiktor Fiktorsz and his wife Eva (?) perhaps were his paternal uncle and aunt ? Eva Victors the witness at one of the baptisms perhaps was the same and his aunt ? I at first thought perhaps she was his sister..

I added the patronymic Louwijsz for LNAB, at his second marriage father use Victoors as a last name, so it's possible he used both Victors for last name at some occasions and just his patronymic Pieters at some occasions, but at the baptism there is no Victors mentioned, so the correct LNAB for Jan would be the patronymic, the Victors is current last name.

Thanks for the info and links you both added here as well Susan and Sharon, now we were able to dig a little deeper an add the mother and even a grandfather and his son Victor.  :) Still looking for more, didn't find the baptism for daughter Joanna yet.

I have found the baptism record for Joanna. She was baptised Jannetje, she was also mentioned in his will in 1664 as that. His wife had passed away by then as he was a widow then. I also located baptism records for his other children.

I think maybe his mother remarried after his father died and Lowijs Pieter, who is mentioned as his father (?) perhaps was his stepfather who might have adopted and raised the children of his wife as his own ?

His father most likely was the Fiktor Fiktors mentioned at the baptism Gordon found ?

Found something else, it looks like Lowijs Pieters perhaps also was named Lowijs Victors, so perhaps this Lowijs was a son of man named Pieter Victors and it was a multiple generation patronymic he used ?

I have been doing a little digging on art history sites. It seems his name is Jan Victors (with an "s") from his signature. I have found three of his pictures online in a very brief search and think I could find more. There is a nice article (http://www.sphinxfineart.com/Victors-Jan-DesktopDefault.aspx?tabid=45&tabindex=44&artistid=30684) describing various pieces and pointing to some family links that might be able to be followed up with links to sources.
