Biography

In 1901, when Roy was five, the Canadian census has the Lyons family living in Kingsport, Cornwallis, Nova Scotia.

Roy was born in Canning, Nova Scotia. He spent or all or most of his life on Scott's Bay Road.

Roy's son Roy Jr. was alive as of 2016.

Roy's brother Ralph also married a Legge, Cora Legge. This Lyons family lived in Blomidon, not far from Scots Bay Road, NS

Roy lived to be at least 88. A clipping from the Whitten family bible describes a family reunion at his home at that age.

Bea (Whitten) Laserte remembered his birthday as being December 11. A copy of his signed birth registration request in 1958, verifies his birth date as December 11, 1895. (www.novascotiageneology.com)
