Thank you for the welcome! I am trying to learn how to edit and use WikiTree. I haven't figured out how to edit very much very far. I am trying to connect my entry to my dad's account but have not been able to do that yet. But thank you for the welcome.
Cheers~
Mackenzie
Cheryl's off duty right now and won't have been notified about your question, so I am answering. If your dad already has a profile at WikiTree, ask him for his Wiki ID. It will be in the format Name-###; for instance, yours is Markley-Guinon-1 because you are the first person with that Last Name at Birth. When you have his Wiki ID, click the "add father" link on your profile. In the first box, type his Wiki ID and click Go.
We are here to answer any questions about how WikiTree works, even if they seem minor to you. My rule of thumb when I started was to search for an answer for five minutes, then reach out to my Greeters, and then resume searching. I might have found the answer before they got back with me but they sometimes offered a different way of doing the same thing which was easier. We are always here to help just be sure to use the reply links to ensure that we are alerted. We are only alerted about new comments when they are posted to our profiles, not yours.
See you in the branches,

PS We have a research tool that makes finding reliable sources easier. I use it all the time and it helps me remember different places to check. To give it a try, go to the Family Tree & Tools tab; select Genealogy Research, scroll down near the bottom of that list, and select Research with RootsSearch (use your WikiTree email & password). There are over 20 websites to access from there. You can read more about the tool in the RootsSearch FAQ.
I am so delighted to welcome you to WikiTree! Thank you for upgrading. You are all set to add and edit profiles now.
Click here to start with our New Member How To Pages. They will save you time, energy and frustration as you add your family profiles.
I hope you love WikiTree as much as I do. You never know when you will find a lost ancestor or family member. Maybe you will find a family secret about an ancestor like I did.
If you have questions about how WikiTree works, let me know. You can use the "reply" link under this comment or click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.

P.S. Sometimes links don't work in emails. If that's happened to you, check the public comments on your profile, as the links will work from there.
This is just a note to say hi and to let you know that I'm available to answer questions about joining WikiTree.
