Biography

Joseph Jean "Etienne" Malbrough, son of Francois Achille Malbrough and Marie Madeleine Duon, was born 19 April 1808 and baptized on 22 August 1808 at the Ascension of Our Lord Church in Donaldsonville, Louisiana.[1]

Etienne married Marie Marcelite Veneranda Duplantis, daughter of Jean Baptiste Duplantis and Marie Francoise Brunet, 22 May 1832 at St. Joseph's Church in Thibodaux, Louisiana.[2]

Etienne died without a will on 25 August 1871 in Montegut, Louisiana, and the Petition for Administration of his Estate (Succession) hearing was held on 8 September 1871 at the Terrebonne Parish Courthouse in Houma, Louisiana.[15]
