Biography

Cora was born 21 Aug 1857 at Skullyville, Moshulatubbee District, Choctaw Nation, Indian Territory, the daughter of Robert Smith McCarty and Mary Ann (Moncrief. Cora passed away 21 Dec 1927 at Hugo, Choctaw, Oklahoma. She is buried at the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Hugo, Choctaw County, Oklahoma.[2]

Cora McCarty was married to James Thomas Leard on 10 June 1874 at Skullyville, Moshulatubbee District, Choctaw Nation, Indian Territory by Rev. Singleton Smith.[4] The marriage was recorded at Sebastian, Arkansas, United States.[3]
