Biography

Joachim was born in 1819 in Cheticamp, Nova Scotia to Charles Muise and Marguerite Perrault.

He was a fisherman and a farmer.

Joachim was first married to Sophie Doucet, with whom he had several children in Cheticamp.

After Sophie's death, Joachim remarried to widow Esther Roach in 1865 in Cheticamp.[1] They had 7 children together between 1866 and 1879. Around 1869, Joachim, Esther, and family moved from Cheticamp to the Magdalen Islands, Quebec (les Îles-de-la-Madeleine). Esther passed away in 1883 in L'Étang-du-Nord.

Joachim remarried again to widow Ursule (Vigneau) Devost in 1884 in L'Étang-du-Nord.[2] Sometime prior to 1891, they moved to Cheticamp, where they were still living as of 1901.

Research Notes

His place and date of death are unknown; it was between 1901 and 1911, when wife Ursule was recorded as a widow on the census.
