William Newsome is buried in Oak City Cemetery.

Biography

William was born about 1870 in Georgia. His parents were Thomas W and Clara Ragland Newsome. In 1880, the family was living in Lee County, Alabama.[1]

In 1900, he and his mother were living with his sister, Brownie, and her first husband, Sigmund.[2]

In 1910, William was living with his mother in the home of his sister and second brother-in-law's in Bainbridge, Decatur County, Georgia.[3]

William passed away in 1914. Burial was in the Oak City Cemetery, Bainbridge, Decatur County, Georgia.[4] He lies near his mother and sisters. His grave is inscribed: As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you.[5]
