Biography

Brownie was born in Alabama to Thomas W and Clara Ragland Newsome.[1] She married her first husband, Sigmund Nussbaum, in 1898.[2] They were living in Bainbridge in 1900.[3]

By 1910, she was married to Henry Hill and they were living in Bainbridge, Decatur County, Georgia.[4]

Brownie passed away in 1917. Burial was in the Oak City Cemetery, Bainbridge, Decatur County, Georgia.[5] She lies near her mother and siblings. Her grave is inscribed: "Brownie"; Wife of Henry Lloyd Hill; She has answered in a mother's way, the call of her little child.[6]
