Biography

Susanna Dorothea Jacoba was born in 1848; she was the daughter of Wessel Jacobus Oosthuizen and Magdalena Martha Prinslo.[1]

She married widower Johannes Petrus Smit in about 1870; they had the following children:

Johanna Petronella (Smit) Wasserman

After Johannes passed away in 1882 the 42-year-old widow married 46-year-old widower Jan Pieter Jeremias van Krayenburg in Lydenburg, ZAR, on 21 May 1883.[2]

Jan is believed to have died in 1891. After his death, Susanna, now a 46-year-old widow, married 54-year-old Christiaan Ernst Schutte in Carolina, ZAR, on 28 May 1894.[3]

Christiaan passed away in 1899; the 54-year-old widow then married 58-year-old widower Cornelis Petrus Johannes Meyer in Carolina, Transvaal Colony, on 3 June 1903.[4]

Susanna was 77 years old when she passed away at 'Sevenfontein', Carolina on 29 August 1925.[5][6][7]
