In 1940, Velma was living with husband Elbert in Straight Mountain, Alabama. They had three children in the household, Inez (14 years old), H.L. (a son, 12) and Donald (7).[3]
She passed away after 1950, though the original profile manager says it was 1992, though provided no sources.
