Biography

Pierre Olivier Pitre is on the Wall of Names at the Acadian Memorial in St. Martinville, Louisiana Plaque 9 Left Le Saint Remi, Arrivee Le 9 September 1785. Listed on the plaque with him is Rosalie Hebert, his wife, and their children: Marie, Magdalaine, Enrriete and Pierre. [1]

Anne was born on 20 February 1782 at l’Hermitage and baptized the same day at the Saint-Martin Parish, Chantenay, France. [2] Her parents were Pierre Olivier Pitre and Rosalie Hebert. Her godparents were Pierre Michel, uncle by marriage, and Théotiste Hébert, maternal aunt.

On September 10, 1785, Henriette PITRE, age 3, daughter of Pierre Olivier PITRE & his wife Rosalie HÉBERT, traveling with them and three siblings as the 7th family (of 6 persons) embarked on 27 Jun 1785 aboard "Le Saint Rémi", which debarked at the Port of New Orleans, Louisiana, on 10 Sep 1785.[3]

She married Antoine Dias on August 20, 1804 at Plattenville, Assumption.[4]
