Biography
Elizabetha was the youngest child of Jacob and Elizabetha Schnell. She was probably born in or near Mannheim, between 1701 and 1710; however, see the Research notes in the profile for her father for new information about her origins and baptismal records in Europe.
She would have been about four years old when her family arrived in New York in 1710.
29 Sep 1711: 4 persons over 10, 2 persons under 10 are recorded for the household of Jacob Schnell, her father, on the Hunter Lists. Elizabetha would have been one of the 2 children under 10.
1723: Elizabetha Schnell/Snell married Johannes Empie, in Montgomery County, New York. The couple had 9 children:[1]
Philip (1726- ). Joined Capt. Soffrines Deychert's Company in March 1757. He was a Loyalist and went to Canada in 1780.[2] He married Maria Elisabetha Barbara Schultheiss/Schultz.
Wilhelm (1728-1803). Joined Captain Soffrines Deychert's Company. Remained a loyalist and went to Canada. He married Maria Margaretha Laux.

John Frederick (1730-~1795) m Maria Elisabetha Schultheiss/Schultz
Adam (1734- ). His will probated 8 Dec 1783, in Stone Arabia.
