Biography

The Early Years

Amelia Jane "Minnie Sheaffer" was born on the 6th of March 1849 in to Levi Sheaffer and Mary Best[1]. It is believed the siblings are:

She would first marry William Cowan Whiffin on the 25th of Dec 1870 in Taylor, Iowa[5] and they would have:

In 1870 they were living in Abingdon[2] he was working as a Blacksmith with about $2,000 in real estate value and $1,000 in personal estate. In the home were Levi 42, Mary 41, Minnie 21, William 19, Lizzie 17, Margaret 16, Hattie 10, John 13, Violette 7.

In 1900[10] she confirmed she had 9 children, of which 7 survived

She would file for a widows pension under Samuel Zinks Widwow[19] on the 13th of April 1904., application 804080.

Death

She died on the 26th of Dec 1932 in Council, Admas, Idaho[1] and she would be buried in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Council, Adams, Idaho[4]
