Mary Elizabeth “Mollie” (Shelton) Hargis was born on 2 Mar 1857 in Kentucky[1] to Stephen Henry Shelton and Elizabeth Jane (Mckinney) Shelton.
She married Desmond Hargis on 10 Aug 1876 (unsourced), The couple had at least 13 children[2][3].
Mollie died on 10 Feb 1933 in Stewart County, Tennessee[1], a year to the day after her husband Desmond, and was buried in Green Hill Cemetery, Bumpus Mills, Stewart County, Tennessee[2].
Research Notes
In the death certificate[1] the name of the mother is incorrectly reported or incorrectly recorded. "Holyfield" is the name of husband Desmond's mother, not of Mollie's mother.
