Amaziah Snow was born in April 1764 in Ashford, Windham County, Connecticut, New England. He was the son of Oliver Snow and Ursula (Streeter) Snow. An American patriot, he was a Captain in the Massachusetts militia during the American Revolution.[1] He moved from Connecticut to Berkshire County, Massachusetts, around that time.
On October 21, 1789, in Berkshire County, he married Sarah Watson b: Oct 21, 1769 in Becket, Berkshire Co., Massachusetts. They had 9 children:[2]

Captain Amaziah Snow passed away in April 1823 at 59 years old.[3] His wife survived his passing. She died on August 22, 1855, still living in or near Tyringham, Berkshire County, Massachusetts. They are buried together at the Tyringham Cemetery, Tyringham. Berkshire County, Massachusetts, USA.[4]
