Asa Snow II was born in August 26, 1754 in Ashford, Windham, Connecticut, New England. He is the son of Oliver Snow and Elizabeth Phillips. Married Elizabeth Wadsworth.

Asa Snow II was this couple's 2nd son to whom they gave the name Asa. His older brother, Asa Snow I, died at three and a half years old on July 4, 1754, the month before Asa Snow II's birth. He has been identified here as Asa Snow II to distinguish him from his deceased older brother, not to indicate that his father was named Asa Snow.

Asa served during the American Revolution as a Private from MA. Private, Capt Peter Porter's co., Colonel Benjamin Simonds's (Berkshire Co.) regt.; entered service April 26, 1777; discharged May 20, 1777. He obtained as pension for his service - Pension Number: S*W25042. [1]

Asa Snow II left Connecticut either during or after the American Revolution. He moved to Berkshire County, Massachusetts. There on May 2, 1782, he married Elizabeth Wadsworth, b: 1759 in Becket, Berkshire, Province of Massachusetts Bay, New England. The couple had the following children:[2]

  5. Stephen Wadsworth Snow b: 27 MAY 1796 in Becket, Berkshire, Massachusetts
  6. Partridge Snow b: 31 MAY 1799 in Becket, Berkshire, Massachusetts

Asa Snow II died on November 30, 1837 in Becket, Berkshire County, Massachusetts, USA. He and his wife are buried at the Becket Center Cemetery in Becket, Massachusetts, USA.[3]

Asa's younger brother Solomon Snow, Sr. (1761 – 1851) or his son Solomon Snow, Jr. (1809 – 1873) signed the following petition in the town of Arkwright (Chautauqua County) NY, probably about 1844:

“Against the admission of more slave states into the Union. To the Congress of the United States. The undersigned Citizens & electors of the State of New York residing in Arkwright in the County of Chautauque respectfully pray that no State be hereinafter admitted into the Union unless the Constitution of such State shall expressly prohibit the existence of Slavery within its limits.”
"Solomon Snow, Sr. was a son of Oliver Snow, Sr. (1721 – 1796) and Elizabeth Phillips (1728 – 1761), and his siblings of record included Oliver, Jr. (1748 – 1841), Diadema (1750 – 1754), Asa (1752 – 1754), Asa (b. 1854), Diadema (b. 1756), Nathan (1759 – 1835), and twin Silas (b. 1761). Half-siblings of record included Amaziah (b. 1764), Parley (1765 – 1834), Elizabeth (1768 – 1791), Sabra (b. 1771), Jemima (1775 – 1791), and Ziba (n. d.)..."
