Elizabeth Snow was born on March 18, 1695, in Woburn, Middlesex Co., English colony of Massachusetts Bay, New England. She was the daughter of John Snow Jr. and his wife Sarah (Stevens) Snow, both of Woburn, Massachusetts Bay, New England.
Unfortunately, as was all too often the case at that place and time, little Elizabeth Snow died on June 24, 1698, at the age of 3 years old, in Woburn, Middlesex, Massachusetts Bay province, New England.
She was not the "Elizabeth Snow" who married Samuel Pudney; nor was she married to Edward Bates, as sometimes has also been reported.

Note: The copy of this work at the NEHGS library contains a page bound between pages 6 & 7 that reads: CORRECTION NOTE. The reader will note that on page 7 of this book appears the statement that Richard Snow of Woburn died in 1711, and that consequently he could not have been the same person as immigrant Richard Snow of the ship "Expedition". My authority for the date of the death of Richard Snow of Woburn was Sewall's History of Woburn. This date was evidently an error, for Richard died, as I have since learned, on May 5,1677, leaving a will dated 30 (11) i.e. Nov 30, 1676 [kge: this may be Jan 30, 1676/77], and which was probated June 19, 1677. By this instrument he bequeathed property to his wife Ann, and sons, John, James, Samuel and Zachary. This information makes the identity of Richard Snow of Woburn with the immigrant Richard Snow of the ship "Expedition," not only possible, but quite probable. The compiler hopes that this explanatory note will overcome any false impression which he may have unwittingly created by his printed words, and he feels sure that it will add considerably to the genealogical value of the book.

Chet Snow researched the life of Elizabeth Snow, removed the mistaken "Pudnay" current last name that had been added to Snow-904 in 2014, and merged Snow-1572 into Snow-904, on June 1, 2016.

Changes to Snow-904 - specifically adding a different "current last name," - led to an initial rejection of this merge with Snow-1572. However, additional research solved the problem on finding that this Elizabeth Snow's cousin, also named Elizabeth Snow, did marry a Samuel Pudney who was their contemporary and also a relative. It became clear that the 2011 creator of Snow-904 was referring to the Elizabeth Snow, daughter of John & Sarah (Stevens) Snow, who died at 3 years old; not her cousin who married Samuel Pudney. Consequently, the name "Pudnay" has been removed and Snow-904 and Snow-1572 have been merged to represent the girl who died at 3 years old and a new profile created for Samuel Pudney's wife.
