Biography

Gerald Geoffrey "Geoff" Sounness was born in 1909 in Plantagenet, Western Australia,^[1][2] the son of Norah Sounness and Thomas Glen Sounness.^[2]

His engagement to Betty Jenkin was announced in February 1934.^[3] The couple never married.

Geoffrey's engagement to Pearl Kathleen Mitchell was announced in September 1935.^[4] The couple married on 29 January 1936 at All Saints Church, Donnybrook, Western Australia.^[5] Their children were:

• Peta Dale Sounness (1937–2004)^[6][7]
• Geoffrey Valentine Sounness (1939–?)^[7][8]

Gerald died on 2 June 1984 at Rocky Gully, Western Australia.^[2]
