JEAN AUCOING is on the Wall of Names at the Acadian Memorial in St. Martinville, Louisiana, on Plaque 7 Left, La Bergere arrivée le 15 Aout 1785. Listed with him is Jeanne Terriot, his wife, and their daughter Anne Felicite Aucoin.[1]
Jeanne Theriot was born 9 January 1725, a daughter of Jean Theriot and Marie Daigle. She was baptized 11 March 1725 at Saint Charles des Mines, Grand-Pré, Acadia. Her godparents were Charles Teriot and Anne Marie Dupuis.[2]
She married around 1746, nine years before the "Great Upheaval" of Acadians by the British in the Seven Years War. Her husband was [[Aucoin-522|Jean Baptiste Aucoin, son of Rene Aucoin and Madeleine Bourg, born about 1714 in Acadie.[3]

Text: born about 1714 [no parents listed]. Married about 1744 to Jeanne TERRIOT [no parents given]; seven children listed. Jean, his wife and seven children arrived at St. Malo from Boulogne on 28 May 1766 aboard the Brigantine "Le Hazard." They resided in the parish of St. Servan between 1766-1772.

Jean AUCOIN, born 1712, was on "La Bergere" arriving at New Orleans in 1785 with wife Jeanne TERRIOT and daughter Anne-Félicité, age 19. Listed next was Marie-Anastasie AUCOIN, age 26, "wife of absent Joseph TERRIOT." There is a possibility she was the daughter of Jean and Jeanne.
