Annigjen's name is spelled in many creative ways in the records of Gouda and Leeuwarden: Annetgen, Annychye, Annetie and Antje. The spelling of Ariaentgen at baptism may suggest that this was actually Annigjen's younger sister and Annigjen may have been born elsewhere before her parents moved to Gouda.
