Biography

Almira was born in 1809 in Almira, New York. She was the daughter of Edward Thurber and Hulda (Unknown) Thurber.[1]

When Almira was about 24 she married Buefort Courtney on 13 February 1833. The couple had 8 children: Mary Ann Courtney, Adolphus Courtney, Alfavious Courtney, Martha Jane Courtney, William Courtney, Edward T. Courtney, Aflavious Courtney and John A. Courtney.[2]

In 1850 Almira (age about 41) was living in Pleasant, Switzerland, Indiana. Age: 37[1]

In 1860 Almira (age about 51) was living in Ward, Randolph, Indiana, United States. Age in 1860: 52[3]

In 1870 Almira (age about 61) was living in Deerfield, Randolph, Indiana.[4]

In 1870 Almira (age about 61) was living in Ward, Randolph, Indiana, United States. Age in 1870: 60[4]

Almira died at the age of about 91 on 30 April 1900 in Jay Co., Portland, IN. Age: 91 Yr[5]
