Biography

Dirck was baptized in the Dutch Reformed church in New Amsterdam on 13 March 1661, son of Lucas Dirckszen and Annetie Cornelis ^[1]. Dirck Van de Burgh passed away in 1709 on his plantation in the High Land. ^[2][3]

"1709 beginning September died suddenly on his plantation in the High Land, Dirck Van de Burgh about 48 years old, thereupon was buried on his plantation." ^[2]
