Biography
Arrived on the ship Epaminondas, Captain H.H. Kerr, from Liverpool 14 April / Plymouth 30 April 1852, arrived at Port Adelaide, South Australia on 2 August 1852. Robert 35 Agr Labourer, Margaret 38, Eliza 12, Margaret 14 Nursemaid / Domestic Servant
On April 5th 1855 John Sabey Jnr. married 17 year old Elizabeth ‘Jessie’ Warwick, daughter of Robert Warwick of Strathalbyn at the home of Robert Warwick. Marriage certificate 432979 - John put his mark, so unable to write his name. Elizabeth signed.
Buried at "The Yarrock" cemetery, Kaniva, Victoria - Methodist section - middle - I old ground by Rev. Jones, Presbyterian minister. Aged 56 years so her birth year deduced to be c1838 BUT on immigration records listed in 1852 as "12 year old farm labourer" so born 1840!!
