DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Morning by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Morning:
I think she was probably born in Lee County, Virginia (where her father appears on the tax lists in 1799) or in Hawkins County, Tennessee (where he appears by 1812). The census records for her indicate Virginia (1850) or Tennessee (1860). Is there any source for the claim that she was born in Maryland?
Thank you so much for all the information that you have added to these profiles. I have not been on WT for the last few weeks as I am recovering from surgery but I did make a few changes. Please feel free to add anything further that you have to any of the profiles as I welcome your assistance. I see that we have a possible DNA match which I will pursue at a later date when I feel more up to it. Thank you again!
