Martha Louise Whitten was born in 1823 in South Carolina, United States, daughter of John Calhoun Whitten (1799–1851) and Sarah Unknown (1800–1837).[1]
Martha married Jacob Jefferson Hill (born in 1817 in Laurens). Their daughter was Martha E. Hill (1867–1941).

Martha died in 1907 in Port Arthur, Jefferson, Texas, United States, aged 83. She was buried in Bluff Springs Cemetery, Nashville, Howard County, Arkansas.[1]
