Hi Susan

Just checking in with a few quick tips

Free Space pages are wiki pages for supplementing your family history. They can be used to profile anything of significance such as a special pet, a meaningful event, a school you attended, a family heirloom .... They're "anything pages".

Not sure what to include in a profile? Check out our Biography Ideas and Styles and Standards help pages.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, please ask

Hi!

I'm Eowyn, a WikiTree Mentor and Team Member. We're building a single family tree that we all hook into. Our primary vision is to build a collaborative tree with just one profile per person, so please make sure to look for duplicates on WikiTree before adding a profile. Having dates and locations attached to every person assists in our mission as well!

Feel free to check out How To Use WikiTree. It's a great step-by-step guide to get you started.

We also have our Help Index with links to topics you may have questions on. Don't forget our G2G Forum where many of our members help each other out.

Any questions I can answer? Happy to help :)

Lianne is exactly the right person to contact. She's been a WikiTreer for some time and is super active here. She could also give you a more knowledgeable answer about blog page criteria. WikiTree is a great community. It's pleasing you've decided to join us.

Thanks for joining our community, Susan.

A few employees and a whole lot of volunteers are working together to make our FREE global family tree with only one profile per person a success.

Our Honor Code, G2G message forum, help pages, search features, and many other useful links can be accessed from the menus on the upper right corner of most pages.

VERY IMPORTANT: The more documents, sources, dates, and locations you provide on the profiles you create, the stronger your branches and our mutual global tree will be. If you don't know the correct date, please estimate using before or after.

Hope you enjoy WikiTree!

I've just found WikiTree & am learning more. I have been very frustrated with other geneology sites where you must pay for everything so I am delighted to a site that is pledged to keeping it free. I believe knowing your ancestry is a right and should not be for the privileged few. I look forward to sharing :)
